about

Liner Notes

The music originated instinctively whilst being played live.
There was no concept for the composition before, only a kaleidoscope of sounds stemming from the given instruments.
This is the premiere of a complete different sound on FAX. The presentation of the subharmonic chords which consist of the (natural) overtone row (and are for example used by birds etc.).
Only Oskar Sala, an electronic music pioneer (since the 1920ies) used this kind of chords until now. On this project also “normal“ well-tempered chords are combined with subharmonic chords for a very special musical experience.

Recorded and composed live at the Interference Festival in Berlin on July 3rd, 1994 from 9.00 am to 10.00 am

Subharmonic chords contain low-end tones (lower than 50Hz). We strongly recommend not to listen to this CD at too high volume. Otherwise it could happen that your speakers will be damaged.
